SCHEDULE:

9-5pm - Climbing

4pm - Refreshments (Refreshments will begin at 4pm, and end at some undetermined time).

5:30pm - Awards Ceremony + Raffle Drawing + Afterparty

HOW IT WORKS:

The week prior to the competition, we will reset much of Brimstone with boulder problems specifically for the competition and assign a point value to each problem. (The harder the problem, the more points).

Register by March 14th for a discounted shirt!

Want to Compete?

  1. Click here to register for a spot!  (We will allow for drop-ins day-of as space permits, but cannot guarantee a time slot or t-shirt unless you pre-register).  

  2. Show up at your start time, take your scorecard and select one of each of the following options to choose your category: 

    1. Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced

    2. Female, Male, Non-Binary or Youth

  3. Climb for 3-hours (or less). 

  4. Fall off a problem? All good. Try again! (Or don’t). Just record each attempt you make on a problem. That’s how we break ties. 

  5. Turn in your scorecard at the front desk. 

  6. Congratulations! You just competed in the Brimstone Wild Boulder Rumpus. We’ll tally your score and announce results at our awards ceremony at 5:30pm.


FAQs:

  • For sure! We will have Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced categories and easy enough climbs for everyone to have a fun time.

  • A small prize! And the praise and admiration of the Brimstone community.

  • We charge a $40 registration fee for non-members, $30 for members.

    If you register in advance, you can also snag a discounted comp t-shirt (with amazing artwork from fellow Oregon climber Abby Tran).

  • You don’t have to, but please do! This helps spread y’all out a little over the course of the day and gets some of the paperwork out of the way ahead of time. We will still allow folks to drop in if we’ve got space.

  • We will be closed all day on Saturday, March 28th for the competition. (24-Hour Members may still use the basement, if they don’t wish to compete). We’ll have limited climbing Wednesday, March 26th through Friday, March 27th while our route setters work their magic.
