We look forward to meeting the whole family! The Gorge offers outdoor rock climbing and bouldering appropriate for kids, teens and full-grown adults. Your job is to get yourself to Brimstone with water, lunch and snacks. We’ll take care of the rest.

WANT TO LEARN TO LEAD CLIMB? LEARN TO TRAD CLIMB? OR TAKE A BELAY LESSON?

Whether you’re a complete beginner or want to work on a very specific skill, Brimstone’s friendly, certified climbing guides are excited to meet you where you’re at, and help you learn and build confidence in new skills.

Brimstone has permits to guide outdoor climbing in Mt. Hood National Forest, Oregon State Parks and Washington State Parks. Here are some of the crags we take folks in and around the Columbia River Gorge:

*Contact us for rates. Rates for Smith Rock trips are higher than rates for trips to locations in or closer to Hood River.

What’s included

  • A PHENOMENAL CLIMBING GUIDE - Our guides are all SPI certified or higher, safe, experienced, wonderful humans. Your guide will select an appropriate location for your group based on desires, ability levels and weather, and will handle all of the logistics. No experience necessary.

  • CLIMBING GEAR - Really. All of it. You don’t need to own any of your own climbing gear.

  • [TRANSPORTATION] - We may be able to arrange transportation from Brimstone to the crag and back.
