Heather Brooks

Ladies’ Night Host

Heather Brooks joined her first climbing gym in Spokane, Washington at age 8. She might have carried on on the climbing track had she not discovered ski racing and a deep love for the mountains, which set her life on a different trajectory.

Heather’s love for sliding on snow led her to her first career as a ski racing coach, and drew her to the Gorge over a decade ago for a coaching job. Over the years that followed, Heather came to call the Gorge home--right up until she got accepted into Physical Therapy school in Vegas.

Her time in the desert affirmed that Heather’s heart indeed belongs in the mountains. As soon as she earned her degree, she returned home--but not before she rediscovered her love for climbing.

Now, on Tuesday evenings, after work as a PT and before she goes home to hang with Cooper the Corgi, you can find Heather at Brimstone sharing the joy of climbing with the ladies of the Gorge. We truly couldn’t ask for a more warm, wonderful woman to help build community amongst the lady crushers.
