Kelcie Gerry
Barre Instructor
Kelcie grew up in the Four Corners area of New Mexico, where, from the beginning, she learned to blend physical activity and adventure. She embraced her family’s version of "van life"—a minivan, a tent, and paper maps. By the time she was 16, they’d visited all 50 states, which probably inspired her lifelong goal to visit all seven continents.
Kelcie's first encounter with climbing came in the form of a rock wall in the cardio room of the fitness center where she worked in college. She took the 5:45 am shift because it gave her the perfect excuse to study and daydream about climbing.
Kelcie decided to explore the world of human movement, and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Her expertise in anatomy, biomechanics, and neuroscience forms the core of her teaching, and she’s excited to use that knowledge to help climbers move more efficiently, avoid injury and get stronger.
When she’s not practicing as a physical therapist or traveling, you can often find her skiing, biking, reading and baking.
